Entering our fourth successful year, Drum Crazy Percussion Camp is the only camp in Hamilton, Ontario that offers a cool way for kids to learn music, perform in a concert, record music, make instruments and make lots of friends while keeping active. Drum Crazy focuses on creativity, performance, composition and music education.
We offer a camp that is centered around what our campers and their parents want for them in a quality music camp….”to have a fun time with friends, learn and play music, and keep active”…all in a safe, professional friendly environment.
Our camp instructors and helpers are responsible, energetic adults and students from our community. We have an excellent safe new private facility with great resources, a huge stage and a large double size gym.
Students who attend Drum Crazy will get to learn and play instruments such as the Electronic Drum sets, Cuban, Arabic and African Percussion, Xylophones, Metalophones, Glockenspiels, Boom Whackers and Bucket Drumming. Students will also design and build cool instruments such as a Rain stick. We also keep the students active by playing some really fun games and non-competitive and organized sports such as soccer and floor hockey. Guests artist are also featured at our camps as well.
This summer we welcome back “Mr. Music” Silvio Camilleri who will take us on a “trip around the musical world” combining percussion with accordion music. This summer students will also enjoy our new Electronic Music component at Drum Crazy. Campers will have the opportunity to jam out on an electronic drum set.
With registration, students receive a cool Drum Crazy T-Shirt and Pizza Party. There will also be a concert for family and friends.
